The 60s Eyes

Smoky, sultry colours, full lashes and bold definition - this season's make-up is all about retro eyes. Think Twiggy and Edie Sedgwick, and take your inspiration from the 1960s

The eyes were the focal point of the 1960s face. Great long heavily mascared eyelashes, often supplemented with false lashes. Eye shadows in the blues, greens and browns. A dark crease. Eye liner was dark, often black, and thick.

Eyeliner helped create the dark, dramatic eyes of the 1960s.

Full-on lashes: Full, feathery eyelashes featured on many catwalks this season, and it's a look that can suit everyone. The trick is to apply mascara to top and bottom lashes.
